TEDxBradfordonAvon is an independently organised event. The aim is to bring together speakers from fields as diverse as engineering and haiku poetry to act as catalysts  for participants to explore creativity in its widest sense. The theme is 'Crafting the Unexpected'.

Speakers and participants come from a wide range of disciplines including engineering, sculpture, contemporary art, advertising, film direction, haiku poetry, screenplay writing, music and education.

The format of TEDxBradfordonAvon will allow speakers and attendees to digest and discuss the talks and encourage the exchange of ideas and information amongst all participants in  breakout times where tea, coffee and light refreshments will also be provided.

There is a strict limit of 100 participants (TEDx rules) so we expect demand will outstrip supply. TEDx events are very popular. Ticket information and the release date of tickets will be posted on the website and via twitter. Please do not contact the venue.

Bradford on Avon and surrounding areas are rich in creative people and part of the aim of this event is to bring this community of people together in an exciting unusual way.

TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design.

TED itself, is an annual event where some of the world's leading thinkers and doers are invited to share what they are most passionate about.  Speakers have included Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, Jane Goodall, Frank Gehry, Paul Simon, Sir Richard Branson, Philippe Starck and Bono.

All TED talks are uploaded onto the Internet. This is a key factor in spreading and sharing ideas. Please visit

If you have not been able to get a ticket to this event, you will be able to see the individual speakers talks on the TEDx You Tube Channel in a couple of weeks. More details of how to access them will be posted on this site.
